Distinguished men and women of God, beloved family members, friends, esteemed guests, brethren, and well-wishers, good [morning/afternoon/evening] to you all.
It is with profound joy, heartfelt gratitude, and a deep sense of honour that I warmly welcome every one of you to this remarkable and memorable occasion, my birthday celebration, themed “The Valley of Beracah”. I consider your presence here today not merely an act of courtesy, but a gift, a blessing, and a testimony of love, fellowship, and divine connection. Thank you for taking time out of your schedules to rejoice with me and to be part of this prophetic gathering of thanksgiving and celebration.
Today is far more than the commemoration of another year added to my life. It is a sacred moment of reflection, gratitude, testimony, and praise unto God Almighty, who has remained faithful through every season of my journey. The theme “The Valley of Beracah” is not merely a title for this celebration; it is a testimony, a declaration, and a prophetic expression of what God has done and continues to do in my life. The Valley of Beracah, meaning “The Valley of Blessing”, reminds us that God has the power to turn battlefields into places of breakthrough, pain into praise, and struggles into testimonies.
In 1 Chronicles 16:4–30, the Bible recounts how David appointed ministers before the Ark of the Lord to continually offer thanksgiving, remembrance, and praise unto God. David understood that gratitude is not an occasional act but a lifestyle. He declared, “Give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the people.” This scripture resonates deeply with the essence of today. We are gathered here not only to celebrate age, achievement, or milestones but also to proclaim the goodness of God and make known His marvellous works. This gathering is a testimony that the God who began a good work has remained faithful through every storm, challenge, uncertainty, and triumph.
Our central theme finds deeper meaning in 2 Chronicles 20:20–26, where King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah encountered overwhelming opposition. They stood before a battle too great for human strength, yet instead of surrendering to fear or anxiety, they turned to God in prayer, worship, and unwavering trust. The instruction they received was to position singers unconventionally before the army. As praises ascended, Heaven responded. God Himself fought their battles, set ambushments against their enemies, and granted them victory without lifting a sword. What began as a valley of warfare became a valley of abundance, thanksgiving, and divine reward. The place was named Beracah because there they blessed the Lord.
As I reflect upon my life journey, I can boldly say that God has brought me through many valleys, moments of uncertainty, silent battles, seasons of waiting, disappointments, and unseen struggles. Yet through it all, His mercy sustained me, His grace preserved me, and His favour kept me standing. There were battles I could not fight, burdens too heavy to bear, doors that only God could open, and storms that only His voice could calm. Looking back today, I stand not as one who has survived by personal strength, wisdom, or ability, but as a living testimony of divine preservation and supernatural intervention.
The scripture in Revelation 8:1–5 reveals another profound dimension of this gathering. It speaks of the prayers of the saints rising before God like incense upon the golden altar, provoking divine action in heaven and on earth. This passage reminds us that our prayers are never wasted, and our worship never ignored. There are seasons when heaven may appear silent, but silence in heaven is never inactivity. God is always at work behind the scenes. Many moments in the past year have been marked by quiet prayers, tears known only to God, whispered hopes, and persistent faith. Yet today stands as evidence that heaven heard, heaven answered, and heaven moved.
The journey also reflects the experience of Joshua chapter 6, where the children of Israel encountered the fortified walls of Jericho. God instructed them to march around the city in obedience, even when the process seemed unusual and the breakthrough delayed. There were days of silence before there was a day of shouting. There were moments of endurance before visible victory emerged. Many of us understand what it means to walk around figurative walls – walls of limitation, financial pressure, emotional burdens, unanswered questions, delayed expectations, and spiritual warfare. Yet, just as the walls of Jericho eventually collapsed by divine power, I testify today that God still pulls down strongholds and grants victory to those who trust Him.
Therefore, dear family and friends, as we gather in celebration today, I invite us all to see this occasion as more than a social event filled with food, music, photographs, and merriment. Let us see this as a Beracah moment, a sacred valley of gratitude where praise rises above pressure, faith rises above fear, and thanksgiving rises above trials. Let every heart here today be stirred to remember the goodness of God, for if we take time to reflect, we will realise that every one of us carries a testimony of preservation, provision, and divine favour.
My earnest prayer is that as you celebrate with me, the God of Beracah shall visit each of you in remarkable ways. May every battle confronting your life turn into testimonies. May every valley become a place of blessing. May every silent prayer receive divine attention. May walls standing before your progress crumble by the power of God. May your seasons of waiting transform into songs of rejoicing, and may your lives overflow with uncommon favour, peace, and abundance.
Before I conclude, permit me to sincerely appreciate every individual who made out time to honour this invitation. Your prayers, encouragement, support, presence, and goodwill mean so much to me. I do not take your love for granted, and I pray that the Lord who rewards openly shall bless each of you abundantly.
As we commence this celebration, may our hearts remain filled with thanksgiving, our lips with praise, and our spirits with expectation. Let joy abound, let love flourish, and above all, let God alone take all the glory.
Once again, welcome to “The Valley of Beracah”, the Valley of Blessings, Testimonies, Praise, and Divine Turnaround.
God bless you richly, and thank you for coming.
